Businesses all over the United States are feeling the hurt from the labor force participation rates declining post covid. As baby boomers begin their retirements and Gen-Zers delay entering the workforce, the U.S. Chamber reports that 40% of business owners say they are unable to grow their business due to the lack of workforce. The U.S. Chamber forecasts that there are roughly 9.6 million job openings in the United States.
To combat the decline in workforce across our country, the U.S. Chamber has created a Business Leads Fellowship Program designed to empower local workforce agents with the resource necessary to develop talent pipelines in their communities. The program emphasizes connecting education systems with the business community that will provide opportunities for students. The U.S. Chamber is welcoming its 8th cohort of participants and consists of 35 applicants representing 21 of the 50 states.
Participants of the fellowship program will be equipped with resources, workforce data, and learn best practices from communities that are excelling in building talent. Click Here to learn more about the Business Leads Fellowship Program.
