The I-CAN Reentry Program is a 12-week paid work program for those with justice-involved backgrounds searching for training and work.
WHO qualifies?
This program si open to those 18 years of age or older ni the Tri-County
and Grand Strand, who have a justice-involved background, other than a murder or sexual offense conviction.
HOW does it work?
Participants spend the first two weeks of the program in the classroom learning employability skills such as how to succeed in the first 90 days on the job, create a resume, prepare a job application, and maintain positive work behaviors.
Upon successfully completing two weeks of classroom training, participants are placed a ta Palmetto Goodwill worksite where they receive additional coaching and support. Participants can also attend peer support classes twice a week, forming a supportnetwork and learning strategies for life and career success.
WHAT happens when the program is done?
Once participants complete 12 weeks of employment, they cancontinue
a career path with Palmetto Goodwill, enroll in training for an in-demand occupationat no cost, or pursue a career path outside Palmetto Goodwill.
