About Us
HTC is the largest telecommunications cooperative in the United States. Celebrating more than 70 years as the local leader in communications, HTC provides services in Horry, Georgetown and Marion counties. Utilizing the area’s most extensive fiber optic network, HTC’s offerings include Internet, Video, Security, Mobile and Voice services.
HTC also offers advanced business services including Internet, Voice and Hosted Voice Solutions; and IT Solutions such as Wi-Fi, Data Backup & Recovery and Firewalls, and Business Security.
Impact on the Grand Strand economy
HTC employees more than 650 people in Horry and Georgetown counties and has eight retail locations. HTC’s fiber network spans more than 10,000 miles and powers major industries, small businesses, and residential neighborhoods across our region. The Cooperative utilizes the area’s most extensive fiber optic network to offer the highest starting internet speeds in South Carolina, in addition to a wide variety of both residential and business products and services. Since HTC operates as a nonprofit cooperative, excess revenues earned are returned to members in the form of capital credits, which benefits everyone’s bottom line.
