MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.—Partnership Grand Strand (PGS), the economic growth foundation of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce (MBACC), is pleased to announce the appointment of James Toy as Transportation/Infrastructure Public Policy Manager.
Toy is responsible for interacting with local, state and federal legislative bodies and government agencies to secure funding for transportation, infrastructure and placemaking programs. This work includes assisting with grant writing efforts to secure funding for projects in both Horry and Georgetown counties.
Toy will report to Peggy Masterson, the Director of the Foundation, and work closely with the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber as well as other agencies and alliances in the region.
“We’re thrilled to have James join us at Partnership Grand Strand to assist with fulfilling our mission to accelerate economic prosperity and enhance quality of life across our region,” Masterson said.
Toy’s professional experience includes corporate sales, community engagement and government affairs with various organizations, including Pfizer Inc. and the Florida Apartment Association. He is originally from Florida and moved to the Myrtle Beach area earlier this year.
