BRE refers to strategies and efforts aimed at retaining and supporting existing businesses within a community or region. The primary goal is to ensure the continued success, growth, and sustainability of established local businesses. BRE recognizes the value of retaining businesses that are already contributing to the local economy, providing jobs, and supporting the community.
As an effort under our prosperity pillar, and in partnership and collaboration with Grand Strand chambers of commerce, economic development organizations, public agencies, and private support organizations:
- We strive to understand the needs, challenges, and opportunities of local business.
- We are working to provide targeted assistance, resources, and support to help businesses overcome obstacles and expand.
- We aim to create a favorable environment for existing businesses to flourish, thus retaining jobs and local economic activity.
- We intend to build strong relationships with local business owners and stakeholders.
