What do Entrepreneurs, Small Business Advocacy, Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, Video Gaming, an Art Gallery, a Fashion show, and Networking event all have in common?
The answer is F.A.S.T. Fest!
On September 2nd 2023, at the HCTC Conference Center in Market Common on the Grand Strand, a rag tag group of futurists came together to explore the Future of Art Society and Technology as well as benefit New Directions a non-profit that helps people recover from homelessness, poverty and addiction.
I admit, I had difficulty grasping the concept, until I participated in this 12-hour event that offered a little something for everybody and so much learning opportunity for anyone willing to simply listen in. This inaugural event was offered for free to the community and provided access to the state-of-the-art experts who presented many topics and activities impacting the professions and lifestyles of the future.
FAST Fest was attended and offered by a the most diverse group of people that I had ever met in one space - which frankly - expanded my view and lifted my spirits beyond the daily grind of opinion politics. I came away intellectually stimulated, exhausted, and refreshed all at the same time.
Watch for a repeat performance next year! I’ll be there for sure!
