Partnership Grand Strand (PGS), the economic growth foundation of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce (MBACC), is pleased to announce Peggy Masterson will serve as director.
Masterson will manage the foundation’s daily operations to lead PGS in its mission to accelerate economic prosperity and enhance quality of life across the Grand Strand. Her responsibilities include community outreach and marketing, collaborating with partners, research and programming development, and overseeing the work plans of the foundation’s team.
As the director, she reports to the PGS board of directors and Karen Riordan, MBACC President and CEO.
“We’re thrilled to have Peggy lead Partnership Grand Strand and fulfill its mission of business diversification; workforce talent recruitment, development and retention; transportation and infrastructure advocacy; and downtown revitalization through coordination with the Myrtle Beach Downtown Alliance,” Riordan said.
Masterson’s experience includes over 30 years in sales and marketing with several Fortune 500 companies, including The Coca-Cola Company, where she spent much of her marketing career. In recent years, she served as a senior living administrator in both Horry and Georgetown counties as well as in Greenville, S.C.
“I’m looking forward to using my long history of superior customer management, leading teams of all sizes and across multiple initiatives to fulfill the foundation’s strategic goals to build a stronger community,” Masterson said.
