Local Business Programs

Community and Business Engagement Institute

Who's It For?

This program is designed for local businesses across the Grand Strand that are seeking expert guidance and fresh perspectives to improve their operations. It’s ideal for business owners who want to refine their processes, build strategic plans, or receive hands-on support from talented, high-achieving students preparing to become the next generation of business leaders.

About The Program

In partnership with the Community and Business Engagement (CoBE) Institute at Coastal Carolina University, this program pairs local businesses with dedicated student teams for customized, results-driven projects. These students leverage their academic expertise to tackle real-world challenges and deliver actionable solutions.

From developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and employee handbooks to crafting marketing strategies, financial plans, and operational improvements, each project is tailored to meet the unique needs of the participating business.

This collaboration creates a win-win: businesses benefit from innovative solutions while students gain hands-on, experiential learning opportunities that prepare them for future careers.

How to Get Involved

Local businesses can apply to participate in the program through Partnership Grand Strand (PGS). Once selected, companies are paired with a CoBE Institute student team that will work directly with them on a project tailored to their goals.

For more information or to find out how your business can collaborate with the CoBE Institute, contact Partnership Grand Strand to start the application process and explore available project opportunities.
