Celebrating National Small Business Week Throughout the Grand Strand – May 4-10, 2025
For over 60 years, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has celebrated National Small Business Week, recognizing the vital role that small businesses and entrepreneurs play in the economy. (Link: National Small Business Week.)
According to the U.S. Census in 2022, Horry County is home to 44,908 total businesses. Of those, 34,595 operate without employees and are classified as sole proprietorships. This means that 77% of businesses in Horry County are small businesses with only one employee. With such a significant presence, Partnership Grand Strand aims to highlight the impact these businesses have on the local economy.
Small businesses serve as the foundation of communities, driving innovation, creating jobs, and contributing to economic growth. In recognition of National Small Business Week, efforts will be made to celebrate the dedication, resilience, and hard work of local business owners.
Throughout the week, businesses that have completed surveys with Partnership Grand Strand will be entered into a drawing to win a complimentary lunch. Five businesses will be selected over five days, with meals provided by GringoNinja Private Chef Service. Businesses that have not yet completed a survey but would like to participate in the drawing can do so by filling out the survey by clicking here.
