Meet the micro-EV. This new electric vehicle is taking Europe by storm and expanding quickly in urban areas of the United States. At 4 feet wide, 5 feet tall and 7 feet long, it offers unmatched maneuverability, power and versatility.
Recent transportation studies indicate the average American loses approximately 100 hours of productivity because of traffic congestion. The ability to navigate the smaller more congested city streets, park in spaces where the average vehicle could fit in to and do it all electronically is becoming hugely attractive.
In addition, EV technology companies are working on innovation that includes wireless charging solutions and even solar powered charging capabilities. It’s no secret that traditional EV vehicles are struggling at the moment, but this trend in micro vehicle popularity may indicate that EV will develop most of its scalable traction in urban communities.
